NUS champions students to shape education, and create a fairer and more prosperous society for everyone. Sustainability is a huge part of that.
We know that 80 per cent of students want their institution to be doing more on sustainability, and 60 per cent want to learn more about it. Despite the rise in tuition fees and the crash in the jobs market, these figures have stayed the same. This is an issue which students deeply care about.
Working across campuses, curriculums and communities, we help all students to leave their time in education as part of the solution to our social, economic and environmental problems.
Through our award winning behaviour change and institutional reform programmes, we work from the bottom up and the top down to make the biggest impacts possible.
Our leaders aren’t leading on this agenda, which is why it’s up to our emerging student leaders to drive change, and shape the sustainable future we need to see.
