Since April 2014, NUS has been tracking students’ attitudes towards climate change.
The questions replicate a nationwide tracker survey - the Energy and Climate Change Public Attitudes tracker - carried out by the UK government (Department of Energy and Climate Change and subsequently Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy) since 2012.
Our research has shown consistently high levels of concern amongst students when it comes to climate change, and similarly high levels of expectation in terms of action from government. The latest findings from March 2019 include:
