Start a Food Enterprise

Student Eats has been embedding sustainable food into student life for years, and now we want your help to scale this work up. From co-ops to cafes, we want students to bring new ideas to life and reconnect communities with the food they eat. With start-up costs, scale-up costs and mentoring, we are helping to put sustainable food at the heart of your campus.

To do this, we have partnered with the Soil Association and Sustain to:

  • Give 67 new student-led food based social enterprises with £1000 start-up costs & mentoring.
  • Give 7 of those enterprises a further £17,000 scale-up costs & mentoring.
  • Improve the employability skills of 3,000 young people.
  • Support the student enterprises to trade £300,000 worth of sustainable food.

View our key dates to discover which enterprises you can currently apply for and make sure you are on the Student Eats enterprise mailing list so we can keep you updated on all our exciting opportunities.
